Tavolara and Molara Excursions & Dolphins

Catamaran and sailboat excursions between Tavolara, Molara, Figarolo and dolphin spotting

There are areas of the sea that constantly change their appearance throughout the day.

Tavolara, Molara and Figarolo are part of one of the most spectacular areas of northeastern Sardinia:
clear water, bays that can only be reached by sea, snorkeling and stretches of shipping where, on some days, it is even possible to spot dolphins.

Sardinia Sailing Tour excursions were created to experience this part of Sardinia from the sea, unhurriedly and with the right balance of relaxation, sailing and bathroom stops.

A DAY BETWEEN SAILING AND THE SEA

One of the most unique areas to experience by boat in northern Sardinia

Excursions to Tavolara and Molara allow for alternating sailing, bathroom stops and more dynamic moments among bays, transparent seabed and open sea.

During the day we pass through very different areas: the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, the natural pools of Molara, and the Dolphin Area of Figarolo.

With a little luck, it is also possible to spot the Dolphins in their natural habitat.

Included on board are fish pasta lunch prepared on the boat, typical Sardinian aperitif, drinks, myrtle and snorkeling equipment.

CATAMARAN OR SAILBOAT

Two different ways to experience Tavolara and the Dolphin Area

The destinations remain the same, but the way you experience navigation throughout the day changes.

The catamaran is ideal for those seeking more space on board, stability and larger lounging areas.

The sailboat, on the other hand, offers more dynamic and straightforward sailing, which is particularly appreciated by those who enjoy the wind and sea even while traveling.

Two different atmospheres with the same idea of the sea.

THE BEAUTY OF THIS ROUTE

Tavolara, Molara and Figarolo: completely different landscapes on the same day

Between Tavolara and Molara, the sea is constantly changing color: turquoise water, shallow waters, white rocks and protected bays make this area one of the most unique in Sardinia.

In contrast, the Figarolo and Golfo Aranci area is known for the possible presence of dolphins and for more open and scenic sailing.

A route that alternates between nature, open sea and stops at some of the most beautiful bays in northeastern Sardinia.

FROM WHERE THE EXCURSIONS START

Several bases to quickly reach Tavolara and Molara

Excursions for this Tour destination depart from:

  • Olbia
  • Aranci Gulf
  • San Teodoro

The different bases make it possible to reach the Marine Protected Area quickly, avoiding long initial sailings and devoting more time to bathroom stops and life on board.

TAVOLARA AND MOLARA

Two of the most iconic islands in northeastern Sardinia

Tavolara dominates the sea with its towering cliff face and bays that open up at the foot of the island.

Molara, on the other hand, is famous for its natural pools, transparent seabed, and turquoise hues that constantly change throughout the day.

We will sail within the Marine Protected Area between swimming stops, snorkeling and sailing moments among some of Sardinia's most beautiful waters.

Throughout the day we alternate between open sea, sheltered bays, and viewpoints that can only be reached by sea, with itineraries adapted according to wind and sea conditions.
