NAVIGATING AROUND CAPRERA
A day of transparent sea, relaxation and stops away from the coast
Excursions to Caprera are organized by catamaran and sailboat with stops spread throughout the day.
Navigation can pass through different areas of the La Maddalena Archipelago including Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria and the more sheltered bays of Caprera.
The goal is not to follow a race between beaches, but to experience the sea with more time and more freedom.
CATAMARAN OR SAILBOAT
Two different ways to experience Caprera from the sea
Excursions to Caprera are available by both catamaran and sailboat.
The catamaran is ideal for those seeking:
space, stability and a more relaxed day.
Sailing, on the other hand, offers:
more authentic, quieter, and more wind-bound sailing.
In both cases, the sea remains the real star of the day.
A FULL DAY AT SEA
Snorkeling, lunch on board and swimming stops among the bays of Caprera
Excursions normally depart at 9:30 a.m. with return scheduled in the afternoon around 5:30 p.m.
Bathroom stops, snorkeling and relaxing time on board are provided during the day.
Included are:
typical Sardinian aperitif, freshly prepared fish pasta lunch on the boat, water, wine, myrtle and snorkeling equipment.
FROM WHERE THE EXCURSIONS START
Several bases to quickly reach Caprera and the La Maddalena Archipelago
LLe Sardinia Sailing Tour excursions to Caprera depart from:
- Palau
- Port Rafael
- Cannigione / La Conia
- La Maddalena
The departure bases change the initial sailing time but all allow for quick access to the archipelago.
ONE OF THE MOST AUTHENTIC ISLANDS IN THE ARCHIPELAGO
Caprera still preserves the more natural side of North Sardinia
There are parts of the island where the landscape seems almost frozen in time.
Throughout the navigation we alternate between protected bays, stretches of open sea, and perfect spots for snorkeling and swimming stops amidst very shallow water and very clear seabed.
Each itinerary is adapted to sea and wind conditions to always choose the best stops of the day.
